My wife and I were travelling on the train to Birmingham recently . Opposite us were a young couple aged around twenty, one from Ghana and the other, a South African. We engaged in  conversation and at one stage we talked about musical taste as we are all musicians. I mentioned I had seen Liam Gallagher in Glasgow earlier in the year and they asked, ‘Who is Liam Gallagher’. They had no idea which surprised me greatly. They asked me which Taylor Swift song I like the best and I replied I have no a clue about her music, not being able to think of any song. They were utterly amazed at my ‘ignorance’ of the superstar. Collecting banknotes is hard for some people to understand and appreciate. They are ‘ignorant’ of the appeal, but we know how banknotes can have a real hold on us and we are looking to improve the collection.
